  1. 1-31-94                    MTEZ/WPCOM Options
  2.      Make  sure you have the correct modem picked in the MTEZ setup  screen
  3. <Alt>S.   Also   that   your   speed   is   set   correctly    (2400    for
  4. AFX,AMX,AFC,AMC,FC,FX)  (9600 FCV,FXV - 19,200 for V32) Do not use  periods
  5. and try removing commas too (including Options screen).

  7.      If  you have set anything in the OPTIONS screen of MTEZ (or  have  the
  8. wrong  OPTION  picked),  it  may  affect  your  dialing  from  the  Dialing
  9. directory. If the modem dials OK when you type ATDTphonenumber in  terminal
  10. mode,  then this is the most likely cause.
  11.   >>>  Go  to the Dialing Directory and press "O" for Options  screen,  and
  12. then ERASE everything in there except the '1' for long distance (or you can
  13. erase the 1 also, and put in your 1 in the dialing directory entry).

  15.      To  use Options, the phone number must be entered in this  format  for
  16. all  (including local) calls in the phone book.  xxx-xxx-xxxx Then you  can
  17. use the prefix in Options for such things as *70, to disable call waiting.
  18.  
  19.      If you are using prefix or suffix, and run out of entry space,  remove
  20. spaces  and/or dashes in them (not from the phone entry). If you are  using
  21. several  commas, by setting the comma 'longer' (default is 2 seconds),  you
  22. cam eliminate some commas also. Un User Setup  (press <alt>S ) type  ATS8=5
  23. (5 seconds or larger # if you need it).

  25.      The TOTAL of all digits, Prefix, Phonumber & Suffix is 40 chars.
